The Stranger From Far, Far Away
Once, a long time ago, when the world was full of magic, a young princess was held captive by a ruthless king in a castle in the middle of a forest. It was believed that the king transformed himself into a fire-breathing armor-melting dragon at daylight; he could be seen atop the turrets guarding the gate of the castle. The folks were so terrified that no one dared to rescue the young princess. One day, a stranger came from a kingdom far, far away. The folks told the stranger that many others — mightier and bolder — had attempted to enter the gates; all were met by huge balls of fire and perished. The stranger just stood in silence and waited for nighttime. When darkness settled, the castle's gates flung open. Swords were drawn and the earth trembled and roared. The battle must have lasted all night; when dawn came, the young princess was seen running from the castle ruins. The folks shouted, cheered, and feasted. Days passed and they soon forgot all about the stranger who came from far, far away.
